How to Stay Connected When Needing Disaster Relief with KCM

For years, the KCM Disaster Relief team has loaded its trailers and gone into the heart of the storm to serve others whenever a natural disaster strikes. However, as they survey damage and travel through impacted communities, it has been difficult to reach every KCM Partner when technology is also affected.

With new technology associated with the KCM Partner Database, the team is reaching out to all registered Partners to expand those connections through multiple points of contact.

“Whenever tragedy strikes, the first thing our KCM Disaster Relief does is send a text message to check on our Partners’ welfare,” says Team Manager Jonathan Copeland. “Often, cell towers and reception are the first to go after a terrible storm, which is why expanding our networks is crucial for outreach and to serve others.”

Through the enhanced customer relationship management (CRM) program, KCM Disaster Relief teams will be able to acquire all Partners’ emergency contacts and get their contact information for immediate SMS texts.

“Whenever we’re calling our database, we usually only get in contact with 5 to 10%,” said Copeland. “Expanding our database to get our Partners’ emergency contacts, addresses and even their churches will help us reach every person when we’re in the area. Serving them is our top priority.”

The team’s goal is to become more Partner-focused in its outreach to communities affected by disasters. With a more efficient plan to reach every KCM Partner during a crisis, the KCM team can help the community, partner with local churches, and serve people with God’s love.

If you are a KCM Partner and have any information to update, simply email relief@kcm.org so we can check on you when disaster strikes. If you are not a KCM Partner but want someone to check on you during these perilous times, become one.

There is no financial obligation to join the KCM Partner network. And, once you submit your information, you’ll be connected to a team that will serve you when it seems like no one is around.

“If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble” (Ecclesiastes 4:10).

When disaster strikes, it may seem like you’re alone. But as a KCM Partner, you’re never alone, and you have the KCM Disaster Relief team checking in on you and your family.
